Place the oil on a medium-size pot and turn the heat to medium. Add the onion and garlic. Let it cook until golden brown stirring occasionally. Add salt half way through. Purée the tomatoes in a blender or food processor. Add the puréed tomatoes to the onion and cook for 45 minutes at a low simmer. Serve.
Classic Tomato Sauce (3 Tbsp of sauce for one pasta portion)

• 2 cloves garlic
• 2 cans San Marzano tomatoes
